Virginia Beach BZA
We are heading to the Board of Zoning Appeals for the Northampton Crossing project this Wednesday. It had been a lengthy process but the planning department of Virginia Beach have been great to work with. We had a few hurdles to jump due to the widening of Burton Station but I think we were able to accomplish a great deal with our design and packed a great project into a difficult site. We look forward to the project getting underway for construction. Here is a quick rendering of what we anticipate the project to look like.

Bojangles
Okay so a fast food chain restaurant may not be the most exciting architectural project, but quite honestly I am happy a pleased with any project. The developers are really great people and we have enjoyed working with them on this and other projects. We are hoping for the sign off for their first LEED retail project soon. It will be the first one in Hampton Roads (from what I am told). Anyways, back to the topic. This is our second Bojangles in Virginia Beach, the first one was on Laskin Road and this one is on Holland Road, not too far from the office. Independence Construction is the contractor and they seem to be one super speedy group. I bet this will be up in 60 days. Another 30 days of interiors fit out and they will be open. We have decided to take pictures everyday of the construction so we can put together a collage of clips together to show how the building went up in a video format. Watch for that once the project is complete.
